PAKISTAN, HIMALAYA: HUNZA VALLEY, The Valley of Crystals and Living Water

SKARDU – GILGIT – HUNZA

The Experience of Travelling throught Hunza Valley is out from your possible understanding. 

Hunza Valley is nestled and protected within a circle of perennial glaciers, which surround and embrace it 360 degrees.

Our journey starts from the tiny airport of Skardu, where you land with an incredible flight from Dubai or Islamabad, which crosses the snow-capped peaks of mountains that are among the highest in the world.

In the plain of Skardu we will visit the great Indus Valley: here the many tributaries converge that from the mountains feed the great Indus River which then descends to the Ocean.

From Skardu we will always move with off-road vehicles, along a breathtaking road, crossing impervious valleys, mountains overlooking roaring streams, unique panoramas in the world.

We will see the peaks of the imposing Mount Nanga Parabat (8126m) and immense mountains rich in quartz and black tourmaline.

We will arrive in Gilgit, where we will visit the anthropological and archaeological museum of the local civilization, and then continue entering the Hunza valley, where the sharp Ladyfinger peak (6000m) will welcome us.

And here we will reconnect with the original waters, flowing from pure and intact glaciers. The Hunza valley is famous for the longevity of its inhabitants, based on the highest quality of water in the world. The water, which the inhabitants collect directly from the glacier with small channels and does not come from wells, is very rich in ionized minerals and for this reason it is anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory.

We will then taste apricots, cherries, mulberries, and all the fruits that generous and abundant nature, with the help of the wisdom of the local population, offers in the summer months.

We will meet our friend Mr.Nony, who opened the first permaculture center in the Hunza valley.

We will visit ancient villages reachable only on foot, to meet those who still live in the mountain valleys following ancient rites and rhythms of wisdom and deep connection with nature.

Hunza is unique for its synergy between Himalayan mountain culture and Chinese culture. Giulia (Julia) will guide you in yoga, purification and pranayama practices, in the recognition of crystals and in the understanding of local religions and traditions. Rizwan Ali will be our teacher on Islam and our guide to talk to local people, creating ever new adventures and exploring the opportunities of the here and now, living the present with resilience and gratitude.

FLIGHTS: Italy – Dubai + Dubai – Skardu. The group can meet in Dubai with Giulia Maria and Rizwan Ali  and we will reach Pakistan all together, or directly we can wait for you at Islamabad or Skardu Airport.

VISA: Visa to Pakistan is very simple and cheap (about 32 euros), and can be done online easily with us.
